I cant help you with what your looking for but just wanted to let you know was a big fan back in the day. Would be interested in the final result of your project. Are you trying to get them back together ha ha. Many a thursday or friday night following their gigs around town. Actually any night we would be there. Always a bonus if Cold Chisel were playing as well !!! Good luck with your search and hope you find what your looking for
Kerrie

It was good to hear from you. I checked out your site - it looks good and brings back a lot of good memories. I wouldn't mind hearing some of those songs the band played - Another Girl, Apparition, and I always thought you guys did the best version of New Rose (better than the original by the Damned).

I can remember a few gigs that were fun, scary and sometimes dangerous. You might remember Al Death (Italian guy with slicked back hair and white pointy shoes). He gave Pat Jay (Stagedoor owner) a tough time one day - Pat asked me about him and I mentioned we had no control over him (Pat thought he was not in keeping with the "pussy cat" roadies that the Lonely Hearts usually had. You might recall we were often known as the "Christian" road crew - people never heard us swear and we didn't have sex with anyone (not by choice though).
I hope all is well with you - it seems to be. I will pass on the website to some other people I know who know the band they will be interested. Also some time ago, someone told me that a CD had been produced that contained a lot of bands from that era and it had a number of lonely heart songs on it. I checked around and found nothing - is there anything out there!

(Former Roadie)

Hi Mick and all The Lonely Hearts. Thank you for sharing some of those great songs you guys recorded back in the 80's. They should have all been in the top 40 if not the top 10 hits of the 80's in my opinion. Many years ago I played guitar in a band called "Black Oretan" and we were your support band at St Patricks Catholic College Fairfield year 12's farewell concert but I did not know you then. Great to know you now mate. Keep "The Lonely Hearts" Alive with the Music and Nostalgia 4ever...
Regards, Chevy Mario.

I feel honored to be the first to sign this guestbook & it's about time a website was put together on the band.
So many great memories that involved seeing the Lonley Hearts on Friday & Saturday nights followed by easing my hangover watching my beloved Rabbitohs whilst strategically positioned underneath the scoreboard on the hill at Redfern Oval.
I hope everyone is well.

Cheers, Smithy.

PS: Long live "Back to the Valley".
